



The Bravìo delle Botti is held each year on the last Sunday of August and dates back to the 14th century.
It is an uphill wine barrel race between the 8 districts – Contrade – of Montepulciano: Cagnano, Collazzi, Gracciano, Le Coste, Poggiolo, San Donato, Talosa, Voltaia. The race is held in honor of patron Saint San Giovanni Decollato and preceded by a historical Parade of the districts in medieval dress, to the sound of medieval drums.
Both the race and parade attract many travelers visiting Tuscany.
Stelle di Monte is part of the Contrada di Gracciano and a great starting point to explore Montepulciano and its surroundings.
