Cart Race in Valiano

Traditional feast that takes place in the hamlet of Valiano.
A historical Parade of the districts in medieval dress recalls the historical splendor of the ancient Castle of Valiano (annexed to Montepulciano in 1774).
It is followed by a cart race starting on the highest hill of the village; the carts driven by two drivers make a stretch of about 1 kilometer downhill with a slope of up to 15% and with three notoriously challenging curves.
