Are there dirt roads “Strade Bianche” to reach Stelle di Monte?

From Montepulciano town center, Stelle di Monte is accessible by an asphalt road, however further on, the road turns into a white dirt road (which makes for a great walk!).

You may arrive from either end of the road, so if you want to avoid the dirt road, make sure to select the correct options on your GPs.

However, if you do arrive on the white road, don’t worry, as it is fully accessible to a normal (non 4X4) vehicle.

We do recommend to travel on Strade Bianche if your vehicle is not too low, as they are the most beautiful!
